ADVISOR – SOUTH EAST ASIA

Toby has over 35 years of experience in the energy industry, of which 20 years were spent living and working in South East Asia. He has worked for BP, Petrobras, Schlumberger and Premier in a variety of senior technical positions across the full spectrum of exploration, development and production disciplines. In Jakarta he was Exploration Manager for Premier Oil running successful well campaigns prior to moving to the role of Business Development Manager, overseeing new venture successes in Indonesia (Tuna), Vietnam (Chim Sao) and West Africa.

In 2008 Toby setup his own consultancy firm providing geoscience and business development advisory services. Highlights include being Team Lead for Mubadala Petroleum for their Andaman Sea licence applications in Indonesia, which subsequently went on to deliver several TCF discoveries, and successful applications for service contracts in the Philippines. On the business development front, he has provided technical advice for several $100MM asset acquisitions.

Toby holds a BA in Earth Science from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Sedimentology from the University of London.
